On Sunday, May 12, 2013, the F1 in Schools UAE Nationals 2013 took part where the new Safire Racing team took part in. After a long preparation time, it was time to prove that all the work we have done would pay off.
At the start of the competition, every team received a notice if their car violated a critical technical regulation, and sadly, our team had an infringement, which lead to points being taken off.
We were still motivated though, with the whole event just starting. Overall, racing, verbal presentation and pit display judging went well. During racing, Safire Racing was even on the first place of all race times!
The result of this really intense day was Safire Racing winning the prize for the Best Verbal Presentation (again! See the World Finals 2012 page) and winning second overall place in the professional category!
